Wanda Struchtemeyer, 74, of Independence, MO passed away February 2, 2005 at the Cedar Valley Health Center, Raytown, MO. A visitation will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 6, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. The service will be held at 10:00 on Monday at the chapel with burial at Mount Washington Cemetery. Wanda was born on June 23, 1930 in Mendon, MO to Clarence and Venus Craigg. She was a 1947 graduate of Northeast High School. She retired from the Circuit Court in 1995. After her retirement, Wanda pursued her hobbies of reading, working jigsaw and crossword puzzles and watching British Comedies. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and supervising the two younger ones. Wanda is survived by three children, Wanda VanLeeuwen, Neva Wadkins and Neil Struchtemeyer; life-long friend, Coray Struchtemeyer; brother, Orville Craigg; grandchildren, Jason and Jeff Wadkins, Paul VanLeeuwen and Zachery and Sarah Struchtemeyer.
