Albert LeRoy Strutton, 70, Independence, MO died Dec. 7, 2012. Services will be 2 pm, Wed., Dec. 12, at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; interment at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Tuesday at the chapel.
LeRoy was born Jan. 6, 1942 in Dixon, MO. He was a distributor truck driver for asphalt companies over his career. He was a “picker” who loved collecting antiques at auctions. He was a member of Teamsters Local #541.
LeRoy was preceded in death by sons Troy & Michael Strutton; daughter Tabitha Strutton; brothers Ronald Lee, Archie, Jr. and Rodney Dennis Strutton. He is survived by wife Judy Strutton, of the home; daughters Monica Strutton, Kansas City, MO; Jacinda Garrison and fiancé Chris Garrett, Raytown, MO; Tammy D. Smith, Independence, MO; sisters Vivian Strutton, Branson, MO; Sharon Kay Thompson, Granite City, IL; Wanda F. Thompson, Kansas City, MO; Sherry A. Rainey, Independence, MO; brother Roger D. Strutton, Sr. and wife Susan, Warsaw, MO; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Alfie.
