Roland Lee “Ronnie” Stuart, 73, of Independence Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021.
Ronnie was born on February 17, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, son of Gerald and Bessie Stuart. Ronnie was the youngest of 4 children, with siblings, Gerald Stuart, Timothy Stuart and Patricia Burton. Ronnie attended William Christian High School graduating in 1965 then later retired after 30 hardworking years at General Motors.
Ronnie enjoyed re-fabricating antique cars, family camping trips and the drive-in movies during the years of raising his children. Later in life you could often find him relaxing at home in his recliner enjoying his retirement with his beloved wife Kathy “Beautiful” and his two dogs Fred and Junior. Ronnie also enjoyed engaging in conversation with various family members reminiscing about the good old days. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Monica (Ernie) Gault of Kansas City, KS, Melissa (Bob) Sheffield of Gulfport, MS, Mary (David) Hughes of Dawn, MO, Toni (Humberto) Miller-Ramirez of Boynton Beach, FL, Shannon (Tierra) Miller of Blue Springs, MO, and Carrie (Mobeen) Hashmi of St. Peters, MO; brother, Gerald (Nancy) Stuart; sister, Patricia Burton; sister-in-law, Susie Stuart; as well as 24 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Bessie Stuart; older brother, Timothy Stuart; and brother-in-law, Ronald Burton.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 9:00 to 10:00am with a service following at 10:00am, both at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W Lexington Ave.; Independence, MO 64052.
Interment will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery; 614 S. Brookside Ave, Independence, MO 64053. .
