Charles Lamar Stucker, 76, of Independence, MO, passed away, Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Rosewood Health Center. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Sunday, September 4, 2005 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday evening at the chapel. Charles was born June 8, 1929 in Kansas City, MO to Edward and Artie Joy (Blunt) Stucker and was a lifelong area resident growing up here and graduating from Northeast High School in 1947. He then joined the Navy serving during the Korean Conflict from 1948-52. Charles made a fine home for his family by working for the railroad for 10 years, and later for Ford Motor Company for 27 years retiring in 1991. He was a lifelong member of the I.O.O.F. and the Moose Lodge #10 in Sugar Creek, MO. He enjoyed spending time at his lake property with family, tinkering and fishing. He was married to Bonnie Wilson on July 9, 1949, and after 44 years of marriage she passed away on May 6, 1993. He then married Henrietta Leibfried on February 14, 1997, she survives of the home. Other survivors include; his 2 daughters, Cindy Duncan and her husband Ronald and Karen Thompson and her husband James all of Independence, MO; 2 brothers, Roger Stucker of Lee�s Summit, MO and William Stucker of Chillicothe, MO; 4 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a step son, Ken Turner and his wife Terry of Elizabeth CO and 5 step grandchildren. Donations may be made to Alzheimer�s Research. Charles will be remembered as a very loving and caring man.
