EDWARD LEON SUITER
Ed Suiter, 76, of Independence, MO, passed away Monday, February 6. 2017. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the chapel.
Ed was born in Warsaw, MO on November 12, 1940 to Cletis and Olive Suiter. He married Laverne Fay Vansel on April 5, 1964. He retired from Hobart Corporation after 25 years of service. Ed was very active in his church and had a heart for missions. He took many trips to El Salvador and Mexico, and always left a piece of his heart behind. His warm smile and gift of gab made you instantly feel like family.
Ed will be remembered by his sons Jeff Suiter and wife Michele; Darryl Suiter and wife Lori; sister Lila Jean Lott; grandchildren Jason Suiter and fiancé Krissy, Kailey Wingo and husband Erik, Dylan and Dakota Suiter, Taneisha White, Shawn White and wife Ginny, and Sterling White; great-grandchildren Aubree and Aries White.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2004.
