Helen Lee Sumner

Helen Lee Sumner, 71, of Independence, MO, passed away, Friday, January 06, 2006 at her residence. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Monday evening at the chapel.
Helen was born July 4, 1934 to Oran and Ruth (Lewis) Ader and has been a lifelong area resident. She had worked as a switchboard operator at Medical Center of Independence for a number of years before she retired in 2003. She was a member of St. Ann�s Catholic Church and had graduated from St. Mary�s High School in 1952. She is survived by; 3 daughters, Crystal Sumner of Independence, Mo, Catherine Hobbs of Marshall, MO and Carol Bradfield of Campbell, MO; a sister, Stella Roland of Livermore, CA; her mother Ruth Ader of Sugar Creek, MO; 5 grandchildren, Christian Sumner of Independence, MO, Joey Gutierrez of Los Angeles, Kimberly Naes, Charles and Michael Hon all of Poplar Bluff, MO
