Marvin Earl Sutton of Independence, MO, a man who loved everyone and never knew an enemy, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on April 6, 2021. He was 66 years old. Marvin was born on December 13, 1954 in Houston, Missouri, to Fred and Virginia Sutton. He graduated from Houston High School in the class of 1973, then went on to marry Sharon High on November 22, 1975 and one daughter was born to this union: Sherre. He was a great husband, father, son, brother and grandfather. Those who knew Marvin, knew that he really loved being a Papa, playing games with his grandsons and watching them play sports. Marvin had a huge personality and always made his presence known wherever he went. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and he will be dearly missed by many. Marvin is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon Sutton; daughter, Sherre (Craig) Dierking; siblings, Freddie Sutton, Edna Stoops, Marjory Caffey, John Sutton, Bonnie Malicoat, Danny Sutton and Lonnie Sutton, and 3 grandsons, Cayden, Cameron and Keegan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Virginia Sutton and sister, Dolly Lancaster.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th. St. in Independence, MO. A private graveside service to honor Marvin will be held for the family. Marvin will be laid to rest at Buckner Hill Cemetery in Buckner, MO.
