Stella Fern Swalley

Stella Fern Swalley, 92, of Independence, MO, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007 at Rosewood Health Center. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2007 at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Outreach International. Fern was born October 15, 1914 in Centralia, MO to Glenn and L. Mable (Muzzey) Griggs. Mrs. Swalley retired from the MO Department of Revenue after working for the License Bureau in 1979. Fern was a faithful member of the Community of Christ Church. She is survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Duane R. Swalley.
