Lois Swanson

Lois (Barwise) Swanson, 89, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, November 17, 2005. Services will be 1:30 pm Saturday, November 19th at Carson-Speaks Chapel (1501 W. Lexington Ave. Indep. MO); with entombment in Mound Grove Mausoleum. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:30 pm until service time. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Alzheimer�s Association, Heart of America Chapter, 3846 W. 75th St. Prairie Village, KS 66208. Lois was born May 28, 1916 in Centerville, NM to Burton and Edith Barwise. She graduated from Bonner Springs, KS High School in 1934. She was a bookkeeper for several businesses for many years. Lois was a member of the Community of Christ, Blue Ridge Congregation, and recently the Bonner Springs, KS Congregation. Her parents; two grandchildren, and her husband, Alvin Swanson, preceded Lois in death. She is survived by her children, Jean Schneider and fianc� Bill Hainley of Santa Clarita, CA, Ronald Williams and companion Pat Smallwood of Jefferson City, MO, Karen Anderson and husband Arnold of Overland Park, KS; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; and a great great grandson; sisters, Anna Acock, and Carol McBride both of Independence, MO; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Barwise, and Wanda Barwise.
