James (Jim) A. Swarm

James (Jim) A. Swarm, born Aug. 17, 1923, died Oct. 29, 2006 at Monterey Park Nursing Center.
Jim is survived by his wife Doris J. (Sullenger) Swarm, one son and daughter-in-law, J. Steve Swarm and Karen and one grandson, Brad.
Jim and Doris were married in August, 1946. They are members of St. Peter United Methodist Church in Blue Springs. Jim was a member of Mt. Washington Masonic Lodge #612 for over 50 years. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post #21. Jim worked for Southwestern Bell for 32 years, retiring in 1978.
Services will be 10:30 am, Wed., Nov. 1, 2006, at Speaks Suburban Chapel on E. 39th Street. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. A private committal service will take place later at Floral Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Parkinson�s Foundation.
