Dollie L. (Tade) Darby, 88, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 5, 2022. Dollie was born to Walter and Neoma West on August 1, 1934 in Columbia, Missouri.
Dollie was a beautiful soul and loved her family and her Lord fiercely. She was a long time member of The Gathering Baptist Church and spent years ministering to others on numerous missionary trips. Dollie was an avid reader and enjoyed her time with the book club at the church as well. She was a proud member of the Red Hat club, spent many hours in her garden, liked to travel and loved to shop for both herself and her grandchildren. Dollie liked to entertain her friends and family. Her home was warm and her doors were always open to those dear to her. She looked forward to holidays, especially Christmas. Dollie will be missed greatly.
She is preceded in death by her parents and late husband, William “Bill” Tade.
Dollie is survived by her husband, James Darby of the home; daughter, Catherine (Cathy) Jeffries; son, William “Tony” Tade (Charlene); 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 1-2pm. Funeral service will begin at 2pm with burial to follow at Brooking Cemetery in Raytown, Missouri.
