Arlene Talcott, 72, of Independence, MO, passed away, Thursday, December 6, 2007 at her residence. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m., until service time at the chapel. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. Arlene was born July 11, 1935 in North Platte, NE to Jesse Edward and Lola Faye (Payne) Crozier. She grew up and graduated for Scotts Bluff High School from Scotts Bluff, NE and later graduated from the Independence Sanitarium and Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. She had worked as an RN part time for the Independence Sanitarium and Hospital and later for the City of Independence Health Department for over 18 years from 1972 until she retired in 1990. She enjoyed sewing, reading and family activities. She was a volunteer for Independence Regional Health Center and the Palmer Center. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and American Nurses Association. She was married to Carlin L. Talcott on August 31, 1956, he survives of the home. Other survivors include; a son, Michael B. Talcott of Independence, MO; a daughter, Carla M. Hurshman and her husband Al of Blue Springs, MO; a brother, Marvin Crozier of Grain Valley, MO; 2 sisters, Gwen Jaggers of Campo, CO and Betty Bryant of Sacramento, CA and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Emma Elizabeth Gamble.
