Josephine F. Tally, 82, of Independence died May 12, 2006 at the Regency Care Center. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the Chapel. Inurnment will be in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Josephine was born on July 14, 1923 in Independence, Missouri the daughter of Homer and Josephine (Gunn) Mintun. She married Loy Tally on September 7, 1940 in Clinton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1997. She was a loving wife and the mother of five children. She is survived by her children: C.L. Tally of Independence, MO., Bob Tally and wife Joyce of Independence, MO., Linda Foster and husband Ron of Independence, MO., Debbie Dunger and husband Rick of St. Louis, MO., and Kris McNeill and husband Gary also of Independence, MO. Josephine is also survived by two brothers, Gene Mintun and wife Wilma and Jim Mintun and wife Donna both of Clinton, MO., eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.
