Darrell Eugene Taylor, 56 of Independence, MO passed away, Sat, Jan 8, 2005 at his home. Services will be 1:30 pm, Tue, Jan 11, 2005 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Indep. MO. Burial in Mt Washington Forever Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 - 8:30 pm, Monday at the chapel. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Darrell was born on Oct. 13, 1948 to Raymond and Helen (Kinder) Taylor in Kansas City, MO and was a lifelong area resident. Darrell had been a Driver with Churchill Trucking, retiring after 25 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local 41 and Immanuel Baptist Church. Darrell was a loving and caring person. He enjoyed hunting, horseback riding, barbequing, and his grandchildren, whom he cherished. Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Raymond E. Taylor in 2002. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Taylor of Independence, MO. One son, Darrell K. Taylor and wife, Melinda of Independence, MO. One daughter, Tina Freeman and husband Max of Olathe, KS. His mother, Helen L. Taylor of Stover, MO. Two grandchildren, Savana and Miya Freeman.
