Doris Irene Taylor, 88, passed away on August 11 in Lee’s Summit, MO.
Doris was a homemaker and worked for Cairns Flowers as a flower arranger for many years. She was a member of Walnut Gardens Community of Christ.
Doris will be remembered by her daughter, Irene Dowler of Independence, Missouri, her son, David Taylor of Grandview, Missouri, her grandchildren Amanda Farr and Scott Taylor of Cape Canaveral, Florida and Benjamin Dowler of Independence, Missouri, her great-grandchildren Jadyn Eisenlohr of Blue Springs, Missouri and Sophia Taylor of Cape Canaveral, Florida, and her sisters Donna Scott of Independence, Missouri and Lynda Street of Raymore, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Taylor, her parents Eleanor and Raymond Carter, her sister, Merna Carter, her brother, Arthur Carter, and her granddaughter Jeannine Dowler.
A memorial service will be held on Sept. 8, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at East Alton Community of Christ, 16999 E. 23rd Street, Independence, MO 64057.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
