Eileen S. Taylor (Sabin)

Eileen S. Taylor, 90, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at Centerpoint Medical Center surrounded by family. Services will be 10 am, Friday, Feb. 2 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave, Kansas City, MO 64105.
She was born on October 18, 1927 in Church Gresley, England to Joseph and Eva Sabin.
Eileen Taylor was a WW2 British war bride who married Carl Taylor on April 25, 1945, and moved to Independence, MO in May 1946. She was a social worker for many years at The Chateau and she was an active volunteer at The Medical Center of Independence and Centerpoint Medical Center for more than 20 years. She was a member of Transatlantic Brides and Parents Association where she made many lifelong friends that were also from England. Eileen enjoyed many trips back home with family and friends.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl, siblings Margaret & Roy and two children David Taylor and Lisa Hageman.
She is survived by her son Robert Taylor (Linda), daughter Carol Lake, son Roy Taylor (Terrie), son-in-law Louis Hageman. Also, grandchildren Cindy Kirtley (Paul), Cathy Phillips, Sarah Dorey (Paul), Robert, Jr (Crystal), David McCall (Gina), Beth Hernadez (Gill), John Taylor (Amanda), Jaci Sasser (Scott) Stephen Box, Louis Anthony Hageman, Jr. Great-grandchildren Drew, Chelsea, (Joel), Paul, Jr, Riley, Parker, Maggie, Connor, Lizzie, McKenna, Samantha, Lauren, Carl, Clayton, Alexis, Alex, Antonio, Brandon, Ashley, Maddox, Ethan, William, Haley and great-great-granddaughter Remi.
