Esther Taylor

Esther M. Taylor, 87, of Independence, MO passed away July 30, 2013.

A visitation will take place from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial to follow at Highland Sacred Gardens in Sedalia, MO.

Esther was born August 18, 1925 in Beaman, MO to Henry Foss and Mary E. (Grimes) O’Neill. She was a member of Sycamore Hills Baptist Church as well as working as the church secretary for many years. She enjoyed knitting and reading.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd F. Taylor in 1976.

She is survived by one son, David Taylor and wife Terri; three sisters, Virginia Anderson, Lois Hart and Nina Kunkel; one brother, Eldon F. O’Neill; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
