Katholeen E. Taylor, 95, Independence, MO. On November 15, 2013 we lost our mom, grandma and Grammy T. She was the heart of our family in so many ways. Now she is dancing on the streets of Heaven with the Love of her Life, holding hands and so happy to be together again.
Katholeen Elizabeth (Easton) Taylor was born in Carroll, NE on June 8, 1918 the daughter of Frank and Flora (Thompson) Easton. She married Chester E. Taylor on October 24, 1936, they were married 43 years. She lived in Independence all of her married life. Katholeen worked at Lake City and many years at Sears before retiring. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Katholeen loved to travel and play all kinds of games.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Fann and husband Charles; son Donald E. Taylor and wife Donna; grandchildren, Steve, Mark and Scott Taylor, Chris Fann and Lisa Blann; great grandchildren, Zack and Mathew Taylor, Amanda Waddoups, Samantha and Jason Taylor, Taylor and Natalie Blann, and Curtis and Trevor Fann; and her beloved cat, Callie. Katholeen was preceded in death by her husband in 1979; an infant son; brother, James Easton; sister, Marjorie Peterson; niece, Linda Williams and her parents.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Wayside Waifs or the Great Plains SPCA.
