Robert Eugene Taylor, 61, of Buckner, MO, passed away, Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the St. Mary’s Hospital In Blue Springs, MO. Services 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 3, 2007 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the chapel. Robert was born April 4, 1946 in Lathrop, MO to Noel and Stella Marie (Gannaway) Taylor and has been a longtime area resident. He had worked as a forklift operator for Cook Composites and Polymers for 41 years before he retired. He was an active member of the local Paint Maker and Allied Trades Union in Kansas City, MO. He enjoyed reading and listening to music especially his son Clint and Chris Weedin. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1963-66 in the Mediterranean Sea. He is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Sandy of the home; a son, Clint Taylor of Independence, MO; siblings, Donna Marie Roach and family of Columbia, MO, Judy Swope and Family of Excelsior Springs, MO; Sue Lynch and family of Liberty, MO and Roy Taylor of Cameron, MO; a sister-in-law, and brother-in-law and their families in Illinois and a brother-in-law and his family in Florida and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
