BONNIE LOU THOMAS
Bonnie Lou (Smart) Thomas, 88, passed away peacefully at her home on May 4, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Floyd Thomas Jr., on June 18, 2011, and also by her three brothers, two sisters, and one infant granddaughter.
She is survived by her four children, Steven Thomas (Cindy) of Independence, Missouri; Kathleen Snively (Vance) of Blue Springs, Missouri; Brenda Ruckman (Ralph) of Independence, Missouri; and Marcia Berry (Andy) of Kansas City, Missouri; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Betty Stobaugh (Kenneth) of Independence, Missouri.
A private family burial will be held in Mound Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the New Walnut Park Congregation of the Community of Christ Church on 23rd Street in Independence, starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Cross Roads Hospice or your favorite charity.
