Thomas Charles "Tom" Crider, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on January 27, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on March 24, 1951, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, he embarked on a life filled with passion and adventure that left an indelible mark on those who knew him.

 Tom's journey led him to Kansas City, Missouri, where he resided until his passing. A man of many talents and interests, Tom had a knack for cooking. He adored experimenting with new recipes and was particularly skilled in the art of meat-smoking. His culinary creations were legendary among family and friends who were fortunate enough to savor his mouth-watering dishes. In addition to his culinary prowess, Tom found solace in nature. Hunting deer and casting his reel into serene lakes brought him immense joy. He possessed an innate connection with the great outdoors and enjoyed spending time immersed in its beauty. Tom's resourcefulness extended beyond the kitchen and hunting grounds. He had an extraordinary ability to fix almost anything that came across his path. With a toolbox in hand and determination in his heart, he tackled various household projects with unwavering resolve. Though often described as hard-headed and ornery, Tom's qualities transcended these characterizations. Those who truly knew him appreciated his unwavering dedication to perfection and his unique sense of humor that could light up any room. His family fondly recalls cherished memories of laughter and moments shared.

 His passing was preceded by his parents; Roy and Helen Crider, and his siblings; Dave Crider and Christine Crider. He's survived by his loving wife; Susan Crider, his daughters; Ashlee Crider, Misty, and Lisa, his step-daughter; Autumn Rose O'Keefe-Jumoneivelle, his siblings; Tim Crider, Sandy Butler, Sherry White, Marsha, and Denny Crider, and 10 grandchildren.

 On February 9, 2024, friends and family are invited to come together at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri to honor Tom's life. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at the same location. The chapel's address is 18020 East 39th St S in Independence (MO), United States.
