Dale Eugene Thomas, 74, Independence, MO passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at his home in Independence. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, August 5, 2022, at Laurel Oaks Cemetery, Windsor, Missouri. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Ave., Independence, MO 64052.
Dale was born on December 1, 1947, in Windsor, MO to Junior and Leona (Stoneking) Thomas. He graduated high school from Raytown High School. Dale proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War; and was honorably discharged on December 18, 1969. On June 16, 1970, he married Frances Williamson in Oklahoma. He worked at the United States Gypsum Paper Company for 32 years, retiring in 2005.
Dale will be remembered for collecting antique fishing lures and reels, slot car racing, collecting antique clocks. He took great pride of his lawn and garden.
Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife, Frances; son, Randall Thomas; two grandchildren; sister, Linda Venable; brother, J. Steve Thomas and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents.
