William E. Thomas, “Bill”, 71, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015.
Bill graduated from Lillis High School in the class of 1962 and retired from Brown’s Medical Imaging. Bill was a person who consumed your attention, lived life to the fullest and always had a smile on his face. His famous quote was “keep smiling!” Bill loved his family, friends, and brought joy to everyone he came in contact with.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Thomas, of the home; 5 children, William J. Thomas, Kristine McCoy, Annie Casey, Cindy Wharton, and Chris Hamblin; 12 grandchildren; 2.5 great-grandchildren; half-sister, Bonnie Thomas, and half-brother, Philip D. Thomas.
He is preceded in death by his father, William R. Thomas, mother, Margaret G. Crimmins, and sister, Judy Lee McGuire.
A celebration of life will be held at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO, 64055, on Sunday, December 27, at 10:00am.
The family suggests contributions be made to Crossroads Hospice in honor of Bill.
