Catherine E. Thompson

Catherine E. Thompson, 80, of Independence, MO, passed away, Monday, October 10, 2005 at Lee�s Summit Hospital. Services will be 10:00 Thursday, October 13, 2005 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Trinity Presbyterian Church. Catherine was born November 16, 1924 in Henrietta, MO to J.V. and Estella (Hugill) Smith. She grew up in Henrietta and graduated from Henrietta High School and had attended Central Methodist University for two years. She had worked as an accountant clerk for Allis Chalmers for 35 years retiring in 1986. She later worked as a volunteer for Truman Medical Center East in Lakewood. She was married to Jack R. Thompson on April 29, 1950, he survives of the home. Other survivors include; a daughter, Deborah Keller of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a son, Dan Thompson of Salt Lake City, UT; a brother, George W. Smith of San Diego, CA and 2 grandchildren, Jenna Catherine Keller and Jared Keller.
