Keith Edwin "Rooster" Thompson

Keith “Rooster” Thompson, 58, of Independence, MO passed away August 24, 2019 in Grain Valley, Missouri. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Keith was born on February 9, 1961 in Independence, MO, the fourth child born to William and Alice (Bybee) Thompson. He was a graduate of Truman High School. For over 30 years Keith was employed by the Blue Springs and the Grain Valley School Districts as a custodian. He enjoyed playing poker, horse races, traveling, NASCAR and bowling. Keith was a very giving person and would engage in conversation with anyone, he never met a stranger, He enjoyed his produce stand in Blue Springs and talking with all the people that stopped by. Keith was dearly loved and will be forever missed by his family and friends. Survivors include: sister Venita Davis; sister Vickie Adams and her husband Don; brother Allen Thompson and his wife Mary; extended family and friends. Keith is preceded in death by his parents William and Alice Thompson.
