M.A. Thompson

Tommy was born in Hendricks, MN, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thompson. He was united in marriage to Joyce Hexum on January 14, 1953. He served in the U.S. Army for two years, and in 1956, he and his wife moved to Independence, MO. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and retired after 30 years. Tommy enjoyed working. He spent many years doing odd jobs, helping his neighbors, especially the elderly. He will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant daughter; one sister; and one brother. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; three daughters, Lynette Schnackenberg, Concordia, MO, Laurie Thompson, Toronto, SD, Lisa Gilbertson, Hendricks, MN; one son, John Thompson, Fresno, CA; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Betty Stetler, Overland Park, KS.
