Mona Thompson

Mona Thompson, 87 of Independence passed away Wed. Jul 12, 2006 at Rosewood Health Center. Graveside services will be 2:30 pm, Fri. Jul 14, 2006 at Floral Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2:00 pm Friday at the Carson- Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Indep. MO. In Lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer�s Association. Mrs. Thompson was born on Feb 9, 1919 to Martin and Phoeba (Hugill) Marble in Atherton, MO. Mrs. Thompson was a loving homemaker and enjoyed sewing, reading and being with her family. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Clell Ewing Thompson and Ralph Thompson. A son, Clell Thompson, jr, daughter Judith, granddaughter Michelle, grandson, Lawrence Edward Cady and great grandson, Lawrence James Case. She is survived by a son, Larry Thompson and wife Claudia. Grandchildren Chip Thompson and wife Vickey of Independence; Debra Barnett and husband Les of California; Rhonda Barber and husband Jim of Independence and Vern Thompson and wife Kathy of Independence. Seven great grandchildren, Tiffany, David Jacob, Trent, Stirling, Savannah and Amy. Three great great grandchildren, Krysta, Stephanie and Derrick.
