Margarete A. "Gretchen" Thum (Itzban)

Margarete A. “Gretchen” Thum, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on August 22, 2022. She was 92 years old.
Gretchen was born on July 21, 1930 in Usch, Poland. In the early 1950’s, she met the love of her life, Heinz, in Berlin, Germany. They married in 1954, and moved to the United States of America in 1958. Gretchen loved to travel, Florida being one of her favorite places to visit. She also enjoyed going on cruises and flower gardening. Gretchen will be greatly missed.
Gretchen is preceded in death by her parents, Franz and Anna Itzban, and her siblings. She is survived by her loving husband, Heinz.
