Tina Marie Vinson, a vibrant spirit and beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 43. Born on December 20, 1980, in Independence, Missouri, Tina was a cherished daughter, an exemplary friend, a loving sister, and a devoted mother whose heart overflowed with love and kindness.
A graduate of Liberty High School, Tina furthered her education by earning an associate degree from DeVry University. Her career took root as the heart and soul of The Naughty Pine in Raytown, Missouri. There, she crafted cocktails, served beverages, and built meaningful relationships with patrons. Tina had a remarkable gift for remembering names and orders, making everyone who entered feel like family. Her warmth and genuine nature created an inviting atmosphere, where laughter and joy were staples of each visit. Tina was not only known for her professional life; she was the epitome of what it meant to love fiercely. An ornery and goofy spirit, she brought laughter wherever she went. Those who knew her would agree that she had an amazing sense of humor and was truly a people person, never having met a stranger. Whether celebrating life’s joyous moments or offering support during difficult times, Tina was always there, a loyal friend and protector. With a passion for music and art, Tina loved attending concerts with her cherished ones and found joy in painting. Her artistic endeavors were a reflection of her vibrant personality—a personality that drew people in and connected them through shared experiences. Tina’s proudest accomplishment was her daughter, Kamio, whom she adored above all else. To Tina, being a mother was the greatest treasure of her life, and the bond they shared was irreplaceable. Additionally, Tina proudly served in the United States Air Force, a testament to her strength and commitment to her country. Her legacy extends beyond her exceptional life; as an organ donor, Tina gave the greatest gift of all—life itself—to those in desperate need, ensuring her compassionate spirit continues to touch the lives of others.
Tina's passing was preceded by her fiancé, Gary Spicer; her paternal grandparents, Richard and Norma Taylor; her maternal grandparents, Ruby and Paul Davis; cousin Rochelle Kimberlin, and her aunt and uncles, Lou Ann and David Taylor. Her legacy lives on through her daughter, Kamio Vinson; her mother, Paula Davis, her father, Spencer Taylor (Susan); her siblings, Rhonda Book, Chris Heavner (and family), Valarie Isabel, Chris Taylor (and family), Rex Golladay, Heather Taylor, and Austin Book. Uncle Kirk Davis, Aunt Michelle Davis, Uncle Craig Kimberlin, and Aunt Denise Kimberlin.
Following her service, friends and family will follow in procession for a graveside service at Mt. Washington Cemetery.
