She married Leland Tittle on January 28, 1977 and they were happily married for nearly 32 years. Together they had two children. In 1987, Lori helped her husband start a home building and land development business, in which she was part owner. A majority of Lori’s life was spent fulfilling her love for animals. In 1994, she went to work at Old Town Animal Hospital in Independence, MO for Dr. Craig Carmichael, an employer and true friend. Her co-workers at the animal hospital were her extended family. Lori, ever resilient, amazed those close to her with her strength by continuing to work at the animal hospital until just two weeks ago. One of her main passions in life was rescuing abandoned animals and nurturing them to good health. Ultimately, she received immense gratification by finding those animals the perfect home. She touched many lives through her good deeds and ability to put others first. Lori took great satisfaction watching her children grow and succeed. Through her life she possessed unwavering support and love for her family and friends. She had a keen way of making people feel special and always took great care in finding the perfect gift for those she loved. Lori approached all aspects of her life with a kind heart, generosity, and compassion. All who knew her appreciated her sense of humor and easy going personality. She also enjoyed quiet time at her home, which was designed and built by her husband especially for her. Among her favorite hobbies were walking her three dogs, Wendy, Angel, and Libby around the ponds in her yard, spending time with her cat Prissy, and feeding the numerous blue birds she attracted. She is survived by her husband, Leland Tittle; son Lee Tittle and wife Lisa, daughter Lindsay Tittle and future husband Matthew Bulloc, all of Lee’s Summit, MO; mother Joyce Ernst; sister Lisa Askew and husband Greg of Independence, MO; father-in-law and mother-in-law Lawrence and Lois Tittle of Independence, MO; and by three additional brother-in-laws; and three sister-in-laws; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
