Phyllis R. Tittle of Independence, MO, passed away on November 5, 2014, at Monterey Park Nursing Center.
She was born on March 16, 1932, to John Charles and LeGreta Bernice (Bowman) Ross in Decatur, IL. She graduated from William Chrisman in the class of 1949. She was a medical laboratory manager for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Henry; her parents; brother, J.D. Ross; two daughters, Deniece and Belinda; and granddaughter, Cristy Barnes Smith.
Survivors include Deborah Stoner of Independence, MO; Diana Barnes of Terlingua, TX; 3 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
A service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO, with burial at Mound Grove Cemetery. Family will greet the public on Thursday evening, from 6-8pm, at the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Wayside Waifs, in memory of Phyllis.
