Alice Mae Tittsworth, 85, of Independence, MO passed away Fri Sep. 24, 2004 at the Monterey Park Nursing Center. Services will be 1:00 pm Mon. Sep 27, 2004 at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Maywood Baptist Church or to Catholic Community Hospice. Mrs. Tittsworth was born on Jan 1, 1919 to Albert and Hazel Julian in Oscaloosa, MO and has lived in this area most of her life. She had worked at Montgomery Wards for 42 years, retiring in 1983 from the Mail Order Department. Alice had been very active at Maywood Baptist Church, where she sang in the Senior Choir and had been a Sunday School Teacher. She loved to make Barbie clothes and go shopping. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Martin "Jiggs� Tittsworth in 1984. She is survived by a daughter Gloria Edwards and husband, Dale of Blue Springs, MO; Four sisters, Lucille Thomas, Blue Springs, MO, Nadine Negus, Blue Springs, MO, Alpha Canole of Lawrence, KS and Joan Vera of Nevada. Two grandchildren, Kevin Edwards and wife Sherlyn of Blue Springs, MO and Lisa Rockers and husband Robert of Sugar Creek, MO. Four grandchildren, Shawn Edwards, Portia Rockers, Reagan Rockers and Tatum Rockers.
