Jack O�Leary Tobin, 84, of Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at his home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel. Burial in Blue Springs Cemetery. Jack was born October 21, 1921 in Russell, KS to Edwin Larkin and Mary Adaline (White) Tobin. Mr. Tobin owned and operated J.O. Tobin Construction Company. He was a charter member and builder of Castleview Baptist Church where he was active as a Deacon. Jack�s life centered around his wife and grandchildren. Mr. Tobin was a member of the U.S. Army having proudly served in WWII receiving 4 bronze stars. Jack is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Bruce E. and Gail Tobin, Brent K. and Jeanie Tobin; daughter-in-law Sue Tobin; grandchildren Renee & Charlie Curtis, Scott & Lori Tobin, Trista & Franklin Roberts, Taylor & Mitchell Beller, Trenton Tobin, David & Trish Tobin, Kathleen & Dan Bnoit; 8 great-grandchildren. Mr. Tobin was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Helen Tobin in November of 2005, his son Ronald L. Tobin in 1987.
