Vicki Lynn Todd, 55, of Independence, MO, passed away, Sunday morning, June 15, 2014 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time on Saturday at the chapel. Vicki was born May 3, 1959 in Belvidere, IL to Benjamin and Jacqueline (Henderson) Todd. She moved to the Kansas City area and graduated from Excelsior Springs, High School in 1978. She was a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses North Rock Creek, MO. She attended school in Excelsior Springs, MO. Graduating in 1978. She worked for Office of Clay County Circuit Clerk - Seventh Judicial Circuit for 35 years. She had many good memories of her accomplishments and her coworkers.
Her love for her family took second to nothing. Her heart was always with her nieces and nephews and loved watching them grow and have children of their own. She was so kind to all who she met inside her workplace and the community. All who knew her could count on her motherly attention and generosity. And undoubtedly can give her credit for their 5 pound weight gain from her candy addiction. She was a collector of just about everything. And what they say is true; you cannot take it with you! She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline M Henderson, Holt, MO; father, Benjamin J Todd and a brother, Donald C Childs.
