Anthony Michael “Tony” Palmentere, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a 3 year battle with cancer on Saturday, May 11, 2024. He was 54 years old. Tony was born on December 29, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Joseph and Janet (Stalcup) Palmentere.
Tony graduated from Wentworth Military Academy and later earned a bachelor's degree from Benedictine College. Anthony excelled academically while also thriving in sports. A passionate football player since high school, he continued playing throughout college and even had the opportunity to participate in a game in Europe—an experience that brought him immense pride.
In addition to his professional and academic pursuits, Tony had a personality that left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Described as funny yet quiet, he had a knack for bringing laughter to any situation while also providing steadfast support to those around him.
In his leisure time, Tony found solace in the tranquility of fishing at Lake Jacomo and Lake Remembrance. An avid gamer with a passion for technology, he enjoyed exploring new realms both in the virtual world and in reality. Tony also had a knack for spotting bargains and enjoyed finding the best deals. Tony was a strong man of faith and was recently re-baptized at the hospice house before his passing.
Tony will be cherished for the memories he created with his family. He held them dear to his heart, and his love for them knew no bounds. Whether it was a simple gathering or a momentous occasion, he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. In honoring his life, memorial services have been arranged to celebrate the wonderful person he was.
He is survived by his mother, Janet Palmentere; children, Gianna Palmentere and Michael Palmentere; sisters, Natalie Bold (Merritt), Loree Huttinger (Jason), Cara Palmentere and Nicole Rezai (Pedram); grandmother, Kathleen Palmentere and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tony is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Palmentere Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30pm on Wednesday, May 22nd at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri. His celebration of life will follow at The Emerald Event Space in Blue Springs, Missouri from 5-9pm.
