Kenneth Toon

July 3, 1936 — April 25, 2014

Kenneth Toon, 77, of Lake of the Ozarks, a loving father and grandfather and servant of The Lord, passed from this life on Friday, April 25, 2014. He was born in Cuthbert, Texas on July 3, 1936 to Clyde and Mary (Coolbaugh) Toon. For four years, "Ken" served in the United States Air Force as a tail gunner on the B-66 aircraft. Ken has several hobbies, one of which is playing the guitar and singing. His first love is the church. He was an Elder of the Restoration faith of the restored RLDS church. Family and friends will celebrate his life from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1st at Speaks Buckner Chapel. A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. A memorial service will follow at Israel’s Gathering RLDS, 1205 S Sibley, Buckner, MO, at 3:30 p.m.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two sisters, Fay Plunkett and Shirley Shelton; four children, Tammie Wilton and husband, Brian; Steven McCown and his wife, Denise; John Toon; and Teresa Grygiel and her husband, Andrew.
