Donald Trayford

Donald E. Trayford, 90, of Blue Springs, MO passed away March 14, 2017. Visitation will be Tuesday from 7-9pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral services will be 1pm Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the chapel. Burial will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery. Donald was born on October 16, 1926 in Kansas City, MO to Ernest and Dorothy (Mattock) Trayford. He was a member of the Laborers Union Local #264 for many years. In his spare time, Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing and eating cheeseburgers! Survivors include; son Ernest Trayford and wife Mary; son Larry Trayford and wife Georgia; daughter Marsha Trayford and husband William Standish; daughter Karen Spencer and husband David; grandchildren April Gray, Amber Cox, Adam Trayford, Jennifer Landbhen, Donald Frizzell, Lisa Riffle, Ryan Applegate, Richard Applegate, Wesley Spencer and Sarah Spencer; 6 great grandchildren; a large extended family and many friends. Donald is preceded in death by his wife Vernieda Hawkins Trayford, his parents Ernest and Dorothy Trayford, brother Norman Trayford, and sisters Lorraine Hawkes and Barbara Jensen.
