Paula Elaine Treese, 62, passed away on April 11, 2020. Family services will be held at Speaks Suburban Chapel, and she will be laid to rest in Orrsburg Cemetery near Maryville, MO.
Paula was born on September 30, 1957, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Clarence Ace Treese and Beulah Pauline Hicks Treese. She graduated from B W Sheperd State School, and she helped run her sister’s childcare facility for many years. Paula had the opportunity to visit many places, including Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, and even took a family cruise to the Bahamas. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and was a member of Englewood Church for about four years. Her prized collections included porcelain dolls, Mickey Mouse memorabilia, and shirts from her numerous shopping ventures, as she had a keen fashion sense. She loved to watch the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals play on television and had the chance to watch a couple of games at Northwest Missouri State University when visiting her niece. She enjoyed listening to old country and gospel music, particularly Alan Jackson and Vince Gill, and when it came to meals, Paula always requested the comfort foods: mashed potatoes, fried chicken, and her own concoction, macaroni and cheese topped with a dollop of ketchup. She had a heart of gold, with a passion for living life to the fullest. She gave freely, and her beautiful soul and sweet spirit will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her siblings: Sandra Bradley, Gary Treese, Larry Treese, Rebecca Sirna (husband Pete) and Patricia Burch (husband Harry); nieces & nephews: Makayla, Donny, Travis, Michelle, Larry Jr., Laura, Heather, Ryan, Patrick, Jessica, Amanda, Jennifer, Bobby Jr., Gary Jr., Steven, Kevin, Jeff, Danny, Marie, and David; six step-nieces & step-nephews; and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Beulah; three brothers James “Jimmy” Treese, George “Mike” Treese, and Bobby Treese; brother-in-law Ronald Bradley; and beloved Dachshund, Joey.
In her honor, the family suggests contributions be made to either the ASPCA or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
