Christopher Edward “Chris” Trick passed away February 1, 2020 with his loving wife by his side. Visitation will be 1-3pm Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3pm at the chapel. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Huntsville City Cemetery. Chris was born on April 16, 1962 in Fort Wayne, IN first of three children born to James and Carole (McCollum) Trick. He was a graduate of Westran High School in Huntsville, MO in 1980. He continued his education, earning as Associates Degree from Moberly Area Community College. In 1986 he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from CMSU. From 1986 to 1991 he was employed at Orbseal, where he spent much of his time traveling to Canada and Detroit. He retired from AAA, where he had been an agent for over 27 years. Chris was active in many organizations over the years including: President of The Cliffs HOA for eight years; past member of the Governing Committee of the Missouri Property Insurance Placement Facility; Big
Brothers and Big Sisters; American Marketing Association of Kansas City; Alumni Association of CMSU and Woods Chapel United Methodist Church. In his spare time Chris enjoyed golf, sailing, and playing poker. He founded, and ran the Westran Golf Tournament for 15 years. He loved cheering on the Royals and Chiefs. Chris was a kind and caring man that never met a stranger or forgot a face. Survivors include: loving wife of 25 years Sheryl (Kudy) Trick; daughter Natalie Trick; son Ryan Trick; brother Patrick Trick and his wife Kristie; nieces Alexa Lapham and her husband Thomas, Emily Trick and Lizzy Trick; a large extended family and many friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carole Ann McCullom Education Trust or Westran Living Memorial Scholarship in memory of Chris. Chris was also an organ donor and would like to encourage others to do the same.
