Virginia Helen Triska

Virginia Helen Triska, 76 of Independence, MO passed away Sep 30, 2004 at the Independence Health Care Center. Services will be 10:00 am, Oct 4, 2004 at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Burial in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 - 3:30 pm, Sunday at the funeral home. Contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association. Mrs. Triska was born on Mar 1, 1928 to Ray and Clara Evans in Harrison, AR. She had been the owner of a package liquor store retiring in 1994. She had previously been a Legal Secretary for the Gulf Oil Company. She was a member of the Fairmount United Methodist Church. Virginia enjoyed quilting and playing Bingo. She was a very loving mother and grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by two husbands, William Stanley Evans in 1964 and Frank X. Triska in 1998. Mrs. Triska is survived by three children, Candie J. Smith and husband Paul of Green Valley AZ, Michael R. Evans and wife Julie of Independence, MO and Richard S. Evans and wife Loretta of Wichita, KS. Two grandchildren, Michael Eugene Rains & wife Tonya and Melissa Diane Simnitt & husband Bryce. Four great grandchildren, Jessie Rains, Johnny Rains, Kyle Simnitt and Kaelyn Simnitt.
