Ina Mae Tucker, 77, of Independence, MO, passed away July 31, 2014. Ina grew up in Excelsior Springs, MO, and spent the majority of her adult life in Independence, MO. She had a 20 plus year career as the manager of the Independence Housing Authority and made Second Baptist her church home. She leaves behind: 2 children(Shari Glaze, Gary Tucker) 3 sisters (Beverly Robinson, Arlene Buford, and Brenda Bates) 1 brother, (Leon Allen Jr) 1 brother-in-law (Marvin Robinson) 1st cousin (Ethel McGinnis) 2 nieces (Linda Robinson, Lisa Robinson) 2 nephews (Keith Bass II, Tyler Cole) 7 grandchildren (Johnny Goulden, Tshanna Goodwin, Malika Wilson, Gary Hill, MiToya Minor, Damon Tucker, and Rileigh Tucker) plus 8 great grandchildren ( Domeyontae, Nacobi, Nailiya, Samarra, Damien, Victoria, Draya, and Antuan), many cousins, and countless friends. We celebrate the life that she lived and the legacy she left behind as she moves on to a better place after an extraordinary life of hard work, sacrifice, love, devotion, and faith she now has a chance to rest, reflect and enjoy the work she put in while on this earth. Ina’s life ended peacefully. So let us find comfort in the words of Paul, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness.” You will be missed.
