Jeff Tucker, 55, of Independence, MO passed away September 10, 2019. Visitation will be from 12-1:30pm Friday, September 13, 2019 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Graveside services will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery where Jeff will be laid to rest next to his mother and brother. Jeff was born on December 9, 1963 in Kansas City, MO, one of 3 sons born to Carl “Smokey” and Charlene (Simmermon) Tucker. Jeff was an Electrician with IBEW Local 124 until his health made him retire. He participated in Civil War re-enactments all over the Country and enjoyed playing the “scoundrel”. Jeff loved to spend time outside either hunting, fishing, or just traveling around the country. At home Jeff spent endless hours building model ships but was always ready to drop everything in share in a joke or join in the party. Spending time with family was what Jeff held most important in his life. Jeff was greatly loved and will be forever missed by his family. The family takes great comfort in the fact that he will be reunited with his mother and big brother. Survivors include: father Carl “Smokey” Tucker; brother Chuck Tucker and his wife Jonnava; 2 nieces Sarah Spooner and Ashley Lyman; 2 nephews Joshua Tucker and James Tucker; 8 great nieces and nephews; extended family and many friends. Jeff is preceded in death by his mother Charlene Tucker in 2016 and his brother Tommy Tucker in 2001.
