Kelly Tucker, 43, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Friday, February 24, 2017. A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055.
Kelly was born on June 9, 1973 in North Kansas City, MO to Donald Gene and Sharon Lacy. After high school she attended Maple Woods where she met the love of her life, David Tucker. After a few short months, they married and began their lives together. Not long after their marriage they welcomed their daughter Kaylee. After Kelly fell ill, she required a heart and double lung transplant in March of 2007. She spent the last 10 years being grateful for her second chance at life and she shared her story with as many as she could. She lived every day to the fullest and never took a moment for granted. She loved going on cruises with her family so much that they have gone on 11, the most recent one in October. Kelly also enjoyed volunteering for Sports Entertainment and being a part of the KC Jeep Club with her husband.
She will be remembered by her husband David and daughter Kaylee of the home; mother Sharon Lacy of Kansas City, MO; best friend Vikkie Hampshire of Blue Springs, MO; Kitty the cat; and Bella the dog. She was preceded in death by her father Donald Gene and a sister Kim Cochran.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association or Donate Life Missouri.
After her memorial visitation, the family will be going to Margaritas in Gladstone and welcome anyone who would like to attend.
