Rev. Clarence R. Tucker went to be with the Lord he served on Feb 14, 2017 at 85 years of age. He was born Nov 27, 1931 in Wichita, KS. to George and Trula Mae Tucker (nee Bryant). Proceeded in death by his parents and 8 siblings. Graduate of Manhattan Christian College 1958, and Christian Theological Seminary and San Francisco Theological Seminary. Certified grief counselor, author of "Holiday Blues" and served as Hospice Chaplain. Married to Eileen Howard Tucker for 64 years. 3 children- Connie R. Tucker Tindal (James), Gregory T Tucker (Bonnie), Kristy A. Tucker Jennings (Brian). 6 grandchildren - Darrell Tindal, Andrew Tindal (Kara), Jeremy Tucker (Jessica), Patrick Tucker, Austin Jennings, and Marissa Jennings. 2 great grandchildren - Mercedes and Elizabeth Tucker. Many nieces and nephews. Served churches in Indiana, Kansas and Missouri. He retired from Blue Ridge Christian Church in Independence, MO and after 18 years of service was awarded Minister Emeritus. His accomplishments include numerous lectures, workshops and conducting numerous grief recovery and support groups. He led group therapy sessions under the Genesis Program in Research Psychiatric Hospital’s out-patient programs. Clarence enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing piano, wood carving, gardening, stained glass working and his small plane pilot’s license. Traveled abroad many times to Ireland, Britain, Europe, Scandinavian countries and hosted three trips to the Holy Land. Devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, faithful Christian, loyal friend, generous to strangers. And loved by all who truly knew him. Our loss is heaven's gain. Eileen Tucker and family are setting up a scholarship to encourage young minister students through "Reverend Dr. Clarence Ray Tucker Scholarship Fund" at Manhattan Christian College.
