David Turner

David L. Turner, born February 24, 1929, passed away September 21, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Alverda Turner, sister, Nancy Comer, and brother, Robert Turner. David is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce, of the home, three children: Vickie Hollaman of Independence, MO, Mark Turner of Kansas City, MO, and Matt Turner and wife Diane of Kansas City, MO, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
David worked for SWBT for 30 years. In his retirement, David built houses, furniture, rock walls and enjoyed fishing.
A visitation will be from 1-2:00 PM, Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Carson-Speaks Chapel with services beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
David leaves a void that can never be filled. He truly was a self made man the epitome of grace, dignity, integrity and courage. He will be missed by all who knew him.
