Jerry Joe Turner

Jerry Joe Turner, 88, passed away at his home on January 11, 2019 surrounded by his family. Jerry was a life long resident of Independence, MO. Jerry was most proud of his service to his country as a Korean Veteran and loved by many family, friends and neighbors. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Bobbie) Turner, daughters Sherry Turner and Lori Yager, Son-in-law Joe Yager, Grand-daughter Lindsay Andersen (Cole), Grandson Lucas Schubert, Great Grandson Paxton Andersen, Great Grand-daughter Presley Andersen, Sister-in-law Lois Turner, Niece Terri Turner, Niece Tami Moran (Sean), Great nephews Mark & Matthew Moran and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous family and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Larry Turner and brother, Shirly Turner.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 17 at Carson's Speaks from 10:00-11:30am, with graveside services and burial immediately following at Mound Grove Cemetery. Donations to Independence Disabled American Veterans or Crossroads Hospice are suggested.
