Lena Lillian Turner “Lily” of Napoleon, MO passed away of natural causes on Monday, April 25, 2022.
Lily was born on September 21, 1940, in Marshalltown, Iowa, daughter of the late Otis Edsel Abbott and Marietta Mae Abbott (Buckallew).
Lily Married Buford Lee Turner on November 2, 1957, and they were blessed with 65 years together.
After marriage Lily completed her GED and decided to be a beautician, after completed Beauty school and spent many years as a beautician in Independence and Cameron, MO. Later she received her degree at Missouri Western State College and worked as a Stenographer until her retirement.
Lily was a devoted Christian and loved her Lord and Savior. She loved to share her love of Jesus with friends, family and strangers and witnessed whenever she could about her life and how Jesus loved her and loved them.
Lily was a very warm-hearted, caring and intelligent woman devoted to her family and willing to share her knowledge and skills with others and help in any situation they were willing to share, and she was always willing to listen. Lily's most outstanding trait was her heart of giving.
Lily was preceded in death by her parents Edsel and Marietta Abbott and Stepfather, Daniel W. Turner. She is survived by her husband Buford Lee Turner, 91 years of age. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her 3 sons Paul Anthony (Tony) Turner and wife Christina, Sean Eric Turner and Clinton Lee Turner. Lily is survived by six grandchildren Dana Starns, Nicalas Turner, Suzanne Balabon, Sean Shepherd, Breanne Turner and Carlee Turner and 10 great grandchildren. One sister Judy Jolene Michaels and two brothers Daniel W Turner Jr. and Houston Gene Turner.
A memorial visitation is being held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 East 39th Street, Independence, MO. We want to invite all friends and family to join us as we celebrate the life of our beloved Lena Lillian “Lily” Turner.
