Mary Turner

Mary Marie Turner, 66 of Independence, MO passed away, Friday, May 18, 2012 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the chapel. Mary was born September 12, 1945 in Kansas City, MO to William and Frances (LeGrand) Cranford and has been a lifelong area resident. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, garage sales and going to the casinos. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald of the home; 3 sons, Don Turner of Kansas City, MO, Robert Turner and wife Teresa of Independence, MO and Gary Turner and wife Cathy of St. Joseph, MO; a sister, Beverly Adkins and husband Clarence of Independence, MO; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 4 nephews and a niece. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, George and William.
