Mary K. Turnour

Mary K. (Ellis) Turnour, 82, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, October 18, 2003 at her home. Services will be 10 am Wednesday October 22nd at Geo. C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home; with interment in Mt. Washington Cemetery. A Rosary will be said at 7 pm Tuesday with visitation following at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Kendallwood Hospice or Cancer Action. Mary was born March 19, 1921 in Lexington, MO to Jerry Granville Ellis and Nona Harrington Ellis. She was a Civil Service employee for over 30 years. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William P. Ellis; and her husband Cedric A. Turnour. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Foster and husband Joe of Independence, MO; grandsons, Joseph D. Foster, Jr., and Jeffrey D. Foster; great grandson, Donald Keith Foster; a brother Jerry G. Ellis and wife Rena of Grain Valley, MO; sister-in-law, Pauline Ellis Harris; several nieces and nephews.
