Gary Dry Twyman, 84 of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Cremation is planned with private family service to be held at a later date. Gary was born December 5, 1937 in Prairie Hill, MO to Leslie and Hazel Alice (Dry) Twyman. He proudly served in the Marine Corps from 1957-58. He spent most of his life in the Independence and Fairmount area where he worked as a storage clerk for TWA for 35 years until he retired in 1999. He had a unique sense of humor and was know as a zany jokester. He also was an animal lover and volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club of America. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Twyman of the home; 2 step children, Devin Hartley and wife Rachel of Blue Springs, MO and Caprice Hartley of Fairway, KS; a brother, Kent Twyman and wife Diane of Houston, TX; 4 grandchildren, Alexandra, Milo, Kayleigh and Elliot and 2 nephews, Kent Twyman and wife Andrea and Jerel Twyman and wife Sandy all of Houston.
